Khalil Saucier is Professor of Critical Black Studies at Bucknell University. Dr. Saucier is the editor and co-editor of various books, most recently The Black Mediterranean: Bodies, Borders, and Citizenship, (Palgrave-MacMillan, 2021). He is author of Necessarily Black: Cape Verdean Youth, Hip Hop Culture, and a Critique of Identity (Michigan State Press, 2015) and co-author of the forthcoming book African Migrants, European Borders, and the Problem with Humanitarianism (Manchester University Press). Dr. Saucier publishes peer-reviewed articles in both the humanities and social sciences. He is also an aspiring abstract painter.
