Undocumented Times: Rhetorics of a Colonial Moment
Department of Communication Arts and Sciences
When life becomes exhausted, organizing political structures has to be reimagined. In his dissertation titled Undocumented Times: Rhetorics of a Colonial Moment, Ismael argues that to avoid the exhaustion of lives, we need to reimagine time beyond the constraints of documentation practices of the past five hundred years. From friars to self-emancipated liberators, resistance from Originary nations to invasion of Spanish conquistadors, survivors to unbearable deaths in migration of his family genealogy, Undocumented Times is a meditation for the possibilities of augmenting pluriversal futures which cultivate life.
